Before It’s Too Late: Global March For Elephants and Rhinos

What is the Global March For Elephants and Rhinos?

If you missed the recent Global March For Elephants and Rhinos that rumbled through a city near you this past 3rd and 4th of October 2015, don’t feel alone.

It seems that major media coverage was less than adequate, post-march included. (Check the Facebook pages on the GMFER website’s 2015 cities tab for photos & the latest updates of the worldwide event.)

Around the globe, cities in the regions of Africa, Asia, Australia/New Zealand, Canada, Europe, Mexico, the Middle East, South America, and the United States of America hosted 136 marches to spread the word of the dire need to help elephants and rhinos.

The message is clear. If poaching and the illegal ivory trade continues our elephants will be annihilated from the face of the earth. “Unless action is taken now, we will lose these majestic, highly intelligent, and emotionally sentient creatures FOREVER.”

But what really matters now is that we never let another day go by without making our voices heard and taking a stand for our elephants. Please support our elephant charities around the world. Donate your time & cash and mark your calendars for the 2016 marches.

And as 12-year-old Taegen Yardley, who participated in the Burlington, Vermont Global March For Elephants and Rhinos 2015 said, “I don’t want people growing up knowing that we were the ones who made elephants extinct.
